| All Shelby County Public Libraries
provide library services to all Shelby County residents. One library card
is honored at all libraries. Each library has local policies and
guidelines determined by their local library board.
Most books check out for a three week period and have a .10 a
day overdue fine. Some special books only check out for 10 days
and have overdue fines of $1.00 or $2.00 per day.
Overdue fines and length of checkout periods for videos,
books on tape, books on cd, dvds, and other non-print materials
vary from library to library. Check with your local library to
make sure you understand their loan policies.
